Requirements
- Be well-versed in two or more programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, or C#.
- Be comfortable with current object-oriented technology.
- Have led software development teams using Agile, Lean, and/or Continuous approaches.
- Know delivery approaches such as TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
- Cloud technology knowledge, such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes, is a bonus.
- Have experience influencing others and advocating for technical excellence while remaining open to change.
- Translate business needs into software requirements, bridging product and technology.
- Develop and execute a technical vision focused on business value.
- Mentor less experienced peers through technical knowledge and team guidance.
- Be resilient in ambiguous situations and approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Champion clean, reusable code, TDD, pair programming, and design patterns.
- Oversee or contribute across the software consulting and delivery lifecycle, from ideation through production evolution.
- Use and advocate for continuous delivery to deliver high-quality software and customer value early.
- Design solutions and select technologies to solve client problems within constraints.
- Collaborate with teammates on features, design concepts, and interactive prototypes, embedding best practices and UX specifications.
- Apply technology thinking from the Thoughtworks Technology Radar to client problems.
- Continue coding alongside developers using a variety of languages and tools.
- Use and champion DevSecOps tools and practices, including shifting security left in development.
- Coach and support team members’ growth through feedback and an inclusive, supportive team culture.
