Requirements
- Have 6–8 years of network engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years with cloud networking.
- Have hands-on networking experience with at least one major cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Know TCP/IP, subnetting, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and load balancing.
- Have experience with hybrid connectivity between on-premises sites and the cloud.
- Have hands-on firewall experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or cloud-native firewalls.
- Have infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or similar.
- Have scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Troubleshoot using tools such as Wireshark, traceroute, and cloud flow logs.
- Kubernetes networking, SD-WAN, zero-trust or SASE tools, and relevant networking certifications are nice to have.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or another 24/7 operations environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cloud networks across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
- Set up and maintain secure connections between cloud environments, data centres, offices, and terminals.
- Manage cloud load balancers, DNS, NAT, and network gateways for production services.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, security groups, and network policies.
- Support Kubernetes networking, including ingress, network policies, and service-to-service traffic.
- Build and manage network infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency and connectivity issues.
- Take part in an on-call rotation and support zero-trust and secure remote access tools.
- Document network designs and maintain diagrams and runbooks.
- Plan for capacity, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud networking costs.
