Requirements
- Have a minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on mobile (React Native) and full-stack development.
- Bring deep expertise in React Native, React JS, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Have strong understanding of native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) sufficient to work with native modules.
- Demonstrate full-stack capability, including ownership or collaboration on BFF/API layers.
- Have experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development, including mobile and responsive UI.
- Have experience with state management such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil, as well as REST APIs, GraphQL, and mobile data-fetching patterns.
- Have a track record of shipping production apps to the App Store and Google Play.
- Have experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
- Have experience with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies.
- Demonstrate experience leading distributed, contractor-heavy teams across time zones.
- Have experience with AI-first engineering and tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Preferred: experience with LLM/AI-native development, webview integration, micro-frontend or monorepo architectures, mobile accessibility, Expo/EAS, or fintech and regulated industries.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of the React Native mobile application and React JS web surfaces across iOS and Android.
- Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development.
- Drive technical roadmap decisions and align them with product goals, timelines, and the broader engineering organization.
- Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, testing, and implementation, spanning native UI, BFF, backend API contracts, and LLM integration patterns.
- Lead code reviews and conduct root cause analysis of critical production issues.
- Own end-to-end delivery of mobile and web features, from technical scoping through app-store release and production monitoring.
- Break down complex requirements into engineering tasks, milestones, and ownership across a distributed team.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release management processes for both platforms.
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team, collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and Backend.
- Participate in hiring, set expectations for employees and contractors, and support automated testing, alerting, and production support.
