Requirements
- Have experience in implementation, integration, or technical support.
- Have experience with Linux and Bash.
- Have confident SQL skills.
- Have strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, secret management, and SQS.
- Have Python experience sufficient to write small scripts or applications.
- Have experience maintaining Databricks jobs and environments.
- Have experience with REST API/SDK.
- Understand file-based databases, including Delta Lake, Parquet, and Hive.
- Understand cluster types and node families.
- Have spoken English at Intermediate level or higher.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple Databricks workspaces across dev, QA, and production.
- Configure cluster policies, governance, and compliance.
- Create and maintain Unity Catalog objects, including catalogs, schemas, grants, service principals, and external storage.
- Monitor and debug failed or long-running jobs using system tables.
- Troubleshoot cluster crashes, driver OOM, executor failures, and memory leaks.
- Investigate Python and Spark errors and dependency conflicts.
- Assist users with cluster and job configuration, notebook errors, and Unity Catalog permissions.
- Explain platform limitations and best practices to data engineers.
- Maintain Confluence pages with platform rules and troubleshooting guides.
