Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience with large-scale software development or application engineering.
- Have recent coding experience in two or more of Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Node.js, .NET, and Python.
- Have experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles.
- Have cloud experience and experience architecting, designing, and developing applications on AWS.
- Have experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies.
- Have experience architecting highly available systems using load balancing and horizontal scalability.
- Hold cloud certifications.
- Have exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Have practical application development experience on Linux- and Windows-based systems.
- Have experience working directly with customers, partners, or third-party developers.
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant application architect experience.
Responsibilities
- Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises adopt new technologies and practices.
- Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS using API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS.
- Leverage serverless, container, and microservices technology paradigms.
- Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architectures.
- Advise on implementing AWS best practices.
- Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing application development expertise.
- Represent developers internally and influence AWS Professional Services offerings and developer product strategy with platform engineering, Business Development, and cross-functional teams.
