- Hold a master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an appropriately accredited academic program.
- Maintain a current, active, and unrestricted Pennsylvania license to practice speech-language pathology.
- Have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
- Have experience reviewing clinical documentation, treatment plans, evaluations, and medical records.
- Attend all required orientation and training sessions.
- Maintain appropriate credentialing, state licensure, and professional certifications required to perform the role.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and the ability to communicate findings clearly, objectively, and concisely in writing.
- Be comfortable reviewing complex medical and therapy records and applying evidence-based clinical standards.
- Be familiar with medical necessity criteria, clinical practice guidelines, and documentation requirements for speech-language pathology services.
Responsibilities
- Review medical records, therapy documentation, treatment plans, and clinical assessments.
- Evaluate clinical documentation, speech-language evaluations, and therapy plans.
- Prepare clear and concise clinical summaries.
- Respond to client questions about speech-language pathology services, medical necessity, treatment appropriateness, and standards of care.
- Apply evidence-based clinical decision-making and professional standards of care.
- Review functional outcomes and recommendations for continued treatment.
