Requirements
- Bring strong professional experience developing applications in C (ISO C / ANSI C).
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of pointers, memory allocation, data structures, and memory management.
- Have strong knowledge of system-level programming and operating system interactions.
- Have experience debugging and troubleshooting C applications with tools such as GDB and Valgrind.
- Have experience with C compilers and build tools such as GCC, Make, and CMake.
- Be able to analyse, maintain, and refactor large or legacy C codebases.
- Have experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Be able to identify technical risks and resolve compatibility issues during infrastructure migrations.
Responsibilities
- Analyse existing C applications and systems as part of an on-premises-to-cloud migration.
- Maintain, adapt, and refactor large or legacy C codebases.
- Optimise applications for compatibility, stability, and performance in the target cloud environment.
- Debug and troubleshoot C applications using tools such as GDB and Valgrind.
- Identify technical risks and resolve compatibility issues during infrastructure migrations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams.
