Requirements

Have experience in classroom teaching, EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support.
Online instruction experience is preferred.
A college degree is preferred.
Have a laptop or desktop computer and webcam.
Provide a clean, distraction-free tutoring environment.
Have a reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 20 Mbps.
Reside in and tutor from one of the listed states or Washington, DC.
Be available at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET, as availability allows.
Attend at least 80% of sessions claimed.
Complete onboarding, including an in-person fingerprint-based FBI background check and paid, self-paced tutor certification.

Responsibilities

Tutor students in grades K–8 in reading using provided lesson content and practice extension materials.
Meet with students in consistent, recurring weekly sessions.
Build professional connections with students and create an encouraging, motivating learning environment.
Provide supportive corrections during tutoring sessions.
Attend at least 80% of claimed sessions.
