Requirements
- Have 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Have 3+ years of experience with Python, asynchronous programming, and streaming; FastAPI is preferred.
- Have 2+ years of experience with distributed or cloud-native systems.
- Bring strong AWS expertise, including Lambda, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Aurora, and Redshift.
- Have experience designing REST APIs with OpenAPI 3.1.
- Be familiar with LLM platforms such as Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or Gemini.
- Understand security best practices and CI/CD workflows.
- Have excellent communication skills across time zones.
- Bonus: Have experience with semantic caching, vector databases, or RAG architectures.
- Bonus: Be familiar with AI/ML evaluation pipelines and prompt management.
- Bonus: Have PHP/Laravel SDK development experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the AI platform layer that powers company products.
- Build cloud-native APIs in Python using FastAPI on AWS API Gateway, Lambda, and ECS Fargate.
- Define OpenAPI 3.1 specifications and generate PHP and JavaScript SDKs.
- Optimize performance with caching, idempotency, rate limiting, and request deduplication.
- Engineer fault-tolerant systems using circuit breakers and policy-based routing.
- Implement observability dashboards with CloudWatch and Datadog.
- Orchestrate asynchronous jobs using SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- Collaborate with product teams to support developer experience.
- Drive cost and model quality optimization initiatives.
