Requirements
- Have roughly 6 to 10 years of professional data engineering experience.
- Have strong Python skills for building and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows in production.
- Have a track record of designing, deploying, and operating reliable data pipelines.
- Have a background supporting machine learning or AI-driven features in live environments.
- Have conceptual or hands-on working knowledge of graph databases and vector stores.
- Have experience with cloud platforms; GCP is preferred.
- Have experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and cloud security practices.
- Be willing to travel to in-person team gatherings roughly every two months.
- Prior early- or founding-engineer experience at a startup, ideally in B2B software, is a bonus.
- Exposure to finance-related systems or domains such as planning, accounting, or business analytics is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run Python-based ingestion pipelines that move customer information into specialized storage for search and retrieval.
- Integrate additional data sources, such as cloud data warehouses and common business applications.
- Shape the data model to support dependable retrieval and automated reasoning across complex datasets.
- Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of work across data, deployment tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
- Coach teammates and guide architecture decisions as the role develops.
- Work closely with the CTO and a small, flat team on frequent calls.
