Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on production AI/LLM application development.
- Demonstrate strong Python proficiency and solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Bring deep backend engineering experience designing, building, and operating production services and APIs, using Django or a similar framework.
- Have hands-on experience building and deploying agentic AI systems, such as with LangGraph, LangChain, or AWS Bedrock Agents.
- Have experience integrating LLM APIs, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, into production applications.
- Have experience building and maintaining RAG pipelines and vector search systems.
- Bring working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and tool-calling patterns.
- Have experience designing and running LLM evaluation frameworks for quality, reliability, and safety.
- Have experience building and operating AI infrastructure on a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Communicate AI system design to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Have a reliable internet connection and an appropriate home office workspace.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production agentic systems, multi-agent orchestration, specialist agents, and Human-in-the-Loop workflows.
- Develop MCP servers and tool integrations connecting AI agents to Teak's platform APIs and partner systems.
- Orchestrate LLMs and manage model selection, prompts, and system prompts for pre-approved, compliant refund language.
- Build RAG pipelines grounded in Teak's policy and product data, with versioning and isolation.
- Implement guardrails to enforce compliant offer language and prevent unauthorized coverage claims.
- Build evaluation frameworks to monitor, test, and improve agent performance, reliability, and output quality.
- Build and operate AI infrastructure on AWS, with structured logging and tracing.
- Contribute to Python backend services, APIs, and platform improvements.
- Review code, document system design and integration patterns, participate in Agile workflows, and join the on-call rotation.
