Requirements
- Significant experience in data engineering or a related technical field, including independently delivering moderately complex to advanced data solutions.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries, transforming data, validating results, and troubleshooting issues.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica data integration and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Understanding of data modeling, data architecture, dimensional data, data mapping, and API integrations.
- Experience processing structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering technologies.
- Knowledge of data cleansing, validation, governance principles, architectural standards, and practices for reliable data assets.
- Familiarity with reporting, visualization, dashboard development, and preparing data for advanced analytics or AI/ML applications.
- Ability to use relevant programming languages and data processing techniques to develop maintainable solutions.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical tasks, estimating effort, managing dependencies, and delivering through project plans or Agile sprints.
- Ability to manage complex assignments independently and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Build and optimize data integration workflows, transformations, and processing solutions using SQL and Informatica.
- Develop data models, reusable components, and data flows for reporting, dashboards, data feeds, and data science initiatives.
- Translate business and technical stakeholder requirements into specifications, estimates, tasks, and sprint plans.
- Build and enhance API integrations across enterprise systems and platforms.
- Prepare, cleanse, validate, and transform structured and unstructured data for downstream use.
- Apply data governance principles, architectural standards, and code management practices.
- Deliver datasets and access methods for business users, reporting specialists, and data scientists.
- Manage project plans, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate on technical challenges and architectural decisions, mentor junior colleagues, and identify improvements to data engineering practices.
