Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of software-building experience, including 3+ years leading a team while still coding.
- Have production experience with .NET (C#) at scale.
- Have enough React or comparable front-end experience to review it credibly.
- Have PostgreSQL performance experience, including query plans, indexing, connection pooling and Aurora specifics.
- Have designed and operated AWS architecture, including IAM, networking, RDS/Aurora and cost control.
- Have reduced a production AWS bill and be able to explain how and by how much.
- Have owned CI/CD using Azure DevOps or an equivalent, including branch protection and pipeline secrets.
- Have led a performance or stability turnaround on a live product with customers.
- Have worked with an ERP, FMS or similar finance system.
- Have multi-tenant SaaS experience.
- Write clearly in English and be comfortable working UK hours.
Responsibilities
- Own the UniFi architecture across .NET services, the React front end, PostgreSQL on Aurora, SQL Server and AWS.
- Diagnose platform performance and stability, produce a written diagnosis and dated fix plan, and deliver the fixes.
- Manage the AWS estate with the DevOps engineer, including environments, cost, monitoring, backups and the deployment pipeline.
- Run fortnightly releases with QA sign-off, written release notes and a working rollback.
- Lead, hire and develop engineers through standards, code review, reviews and growth.
- Own the ERP connectors and posting engine with the back-end engineer, including SunSystems, NetSuite and the Data Connector.
