Requirements

  • Be a current participant in the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline, or at least two years of experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls, and/or electrical infrastructure.
  • Have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles.
  • Be skilled in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Be able to obtain NFPA 70E and/or OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications as required.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent vehicles.
  • Be located near a major airport.
  • Be able to travel up to 75%, including travel within any or all 50 US states.
  • Follow company and site safety requirements.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence, and communicate technical and non-technical information orally and in writing.
  • Work independently with supervision and as a team member, manage multiple tasks, and meet close deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, validate, test, and verify electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Participate in factory witness testing and observe startup activities.
  • Use technical equipment to perform testing and functional testing of equipment and electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
  • Troubleshoot system components.
  • Assist in developing commissioning plans and prepare pre-functional checklists and functional performance test scripts.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and sequences of operations, and assist with commissioning-focused design reviews.
  • Prepare project progress reports and contribute to final commissioning reports.
  • Manage personal hours using company tools.
