Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of renewable energy industry experience in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations.
  • Have 2+ years of work experience in NERC Compliance.
  • Have a university degree or equivalent with 2–4 years of domain experience, or a master's/graduate degree with 0–2 years of domain experience.
  • A degree in business, management, or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience actively managing or supporting a Generator Owner compliance program for 3+ years is preferred.
  • Demonstrate communication, documentation, and presentation skills with working teams and internal and external high-level management.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to track and execute ongoing compliance obligations.
  • Have customer service, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and team leadership skills.
  • Have basic project management skills, including organizing work, planning, monitoring, and making tradeoffs.
  • Bring root-cause analysis and process-improvement skills.
  • Have expertise in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF toolsets.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a group of 1–2 individuals within the Compliance & Risk group and provide direction to meet goals.
  • Manage the workload of the Compliance Administrator and Compliance Analyst.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Own the monthly compliance report process, including review, content creation, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance filings are completed on time and required documentation is stored correctly.
  • Coordinate with the NERC Implementation team to onboard new projects.
  • Track NERC Generator Owner and Operator Standards requirements and compliance status.
  • Implement and track remediation and process-improvement activities to completion.
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures and complete annual and ongoing updates.
  • Lead meetings, resolve team issues, mentor team members, and propose team and division improvements.
