Requirements
- Have expertise in mechanical engineering, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics and vibrations, solid mechanics, control systems, finite element analysis, and mechanical design.
- A PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field is ideal.
- Peer-reviewed publications, CAD/CAE project experience, system design work, or applied research in mechanical systems signal fit.
- Demonstrate clear, metacognitive communication and show your work.
- As a contractor, supply a secure computer and high-speed internet.
Responsibilities
- Converse with the model about engineering scenarios and theoretical mechanical engineering questions.
- Challenge language models on stress-strain analysis, HVAC systems, machine kinematics, materials selection, energy systems, manufacturing processes, and computational simulations.
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness.
- Capture reproducible error traces.
- Document model failure modes.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering.
- Suggest improvements to evaluation metrics.
