Requirements
- Have 10+ years in data engineering, including significant time at Staff, Principal or Lead level.
- Have owned data architecture for a whole system.
- Have designed a canonical or common data model used by many teams.
- Know how to define shared entities, hierarchies, dimensions and time periods across data sources and consumers.
- Have designed mapping frameworks or connector strategies that reuse work.
- Have expert SQL and dbt (or similar) modeling skills at scale, including window functions, large joins, incremental and CDC models, and performance tuning.
- Have deep warehouse knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery and/or PostgreSQL, including partitioning, internals, and cost-versus-performance trade-offs.
- Have production orchestration experience with Airflow, Dagster or Prefect, and build idempotent, reproducible pipelines.
- Have experience with lineage capture, data contracts, quality tests and schema evolution.
- Have strong Python skills for pipelines, tooling and testing.
- Have experience leading and mentoring data engineers, ideally across distributed or offshore teams.
- Be willing to work part of the day overlapping with US hours.
Responsibilities
