Requirements
- Have 3 or more years of progressing/in-depth IT security experience.
- Have system administration experience with Windows, Unix/Linux, or Mac.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of networking concepts and the ability to analyze network artifacts.
- Have experience using Endpoint Detection and Response software, such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, or Defender.
- Have experience with at least one leading SIEM platform, such as Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, IBM QRadar, or Chronicle.
- Possess an industry certification such as Security+, CEH, a SANS certification, or OSCP, or be working toward a related certification.
- Have basic scripting or development experience in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Be available for the 1st Shift/Front Half Sunday-Wednesday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform triage and advanced analysis across endpoint, server, and network infrastructure.
- Conduct threat hunting on customer networks to detect and isolate threats and provide recommendations.
- Investigate client environments for malicious activity and coordinate deep-dive analysis of detected threats.
- Identify indicators of attack and compromise by reviewing alerts, data, and investigation notes.
- Map client use cases to MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques.
- Update documentation and runbooks to support repeatable analysis.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as Incident Controller.
- Scope customer security incidents and communicate recommendations based on analysis.
- Analyze SIEM escalations and provide raw log data for further insight.
