- Native proficiency in Russian; proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
Requirements
- Have native proficiency in Russian, with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
- Have English proficiency at minimum B2 level, with clear, natural vocal delivery and pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
- Demonstrate strong auditory perception of speech nuances, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and audio quality.
- Be able to evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, and context in multilingual audio.
- Demonstrate high-accuracy audio transcription across accents and varying audio quality.
- Be comfortable providing high-quality voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
- Exercise independent judgment on ambiguous audio, including noisy or accented speech.
- Bring strong comprehension and organizational skills and the ability to articulate audio-related feedback.
- For personal-device work, use a Chromebook, a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.
- Preferred: knowledge of transcription and annotation practices, including disfluencies, accents, and prosodic features.
- Preferred: background in linguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or related experience analyzing accent variation and multilingual speech.
- Preferred: experience with speech/audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training.
- Preferred: professional voice work or audio production experience; a portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or related work is strongly preferred for advanced candidates.
Responsibilities
- Label, annotate, record, and provide inputs on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory elements using proprietary software.
- Curate audio data that supports clear, natural spoken output and accurate representation of linguistic and prosodic details.
- Evaluate intonation, rhythm, accents, speech modulation, and audio quality, including noise in real-world recordings.
- Collaborate with technical staff on tasks to improve AI handling of accent variation and multilingual audio processing.
- Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools and audio workflows.
- Transcribe audio across accents and varying audio quality.
- Provide voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
