Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and have 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrate equivalent experience and/or education.
- Have at least 4 years of experience with high voltage substation design.
- Hold EIT Certification.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.
- Have a professional engineering license or be able to obtain one within 2 years of hire.
- Know construction practices and constructability.
- Have experience with proposal writing and project estimating.
- Have working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes.
- Be familiar with applicable codes and standards, including IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC.
- Have working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific and limited portions of broader engineering assignments.
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
- Complete detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Propose approaches to new problems encountered.
- Identify discrepancies in results.
- Perform work within agreed budgets and schedules under moderate supervision.
