Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience designing and developing enterprise integration solutions.
- Strong experience with APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, and serverless technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency with Azure Integration Services, particularly Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and API Management.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, including KQL for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway, and the ability to work across multi-cloud environments.
- Strong programming capabilities in Python and/or C#, working knowledge of SQL, and experience developing transformation, orchestration, and integration logic.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON, XML, OpenAPI, and OAuth 2.0.
- Working knowledge of Git, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Strong understanding of integration security, reliability, observability, error handling, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements; life sciences or healthcare experience in regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Experience with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
- Develop REST/JSON and SOAP/XML integrations connecting internal applications, SaaS platforms, vendors, and enterprise data platforms.
- Implement messaging and event-driven architectures, including queues, topics, publish/subscribe, retries, error handling, and dead-letter handling.
- Develop serverless functions in Python and/or C# for data transformation, orchestration, and custom integration requirements.
- Establish logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and health checks using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Troubleshoot production integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident, problem, and change management.
- Automate integration builds, testing, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Implement secure integration architectures using Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, OAuth 2.0, and Azure Key Vault.
- Maintain integration documentation, interface specifications, audit trails, validation materials, and integration catalogs.
- Partner with stakeholders and technical teams on integration approaches, architecture, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards; mentor junior developers.
