Requirements
- Have several years of experience operating business-critical AWS environments.
- Independently take technical ownership of complex infrastructure and DevOps topics.
- Maintain and improve AWS cloud architecture through hands-on engineering.
- Manage AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containers.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems.
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including importing and migrating manually created AWS resources.
- Automate infrastructure and manage configuration.
- Build or maintain CI/CD pipelines; GitLab and/or Octopus Deploy are preferred.
- Use Bash and Python scripting.
- Work with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix.
- Troubleshoot production systems using centralized logging.
- Manage AWS networking, including VPCs, routing, load balancing, DNS, and connectivity.
- Apply infrastructure security practices, including IAM, least-privilege access, vulnerability management, patching, and hardening.
- Address backup, disaster recovery, availability, reliability, incident handling, root cause analysis, and AWS cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Own AWS infrastructure and improve its architecture and operational standards.
- Automate manual processes and help move existing infrastructure toward Infrastructure as Code.
- Standardize, document, and automate existing infrastructure, including bringing manually created resources under IaC management.
- Implement solutions hands-on across AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Improve stability, security, automation, observability, and cloud architecture across hybrid infrastructure.
- Challenge existing approaches and propose improvements to architecture, reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
