Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C or C++ and hands-on experience with SystemC.
- Understand operating systems, including drivers, memory management, bootloaders, and scheduling.
- Have strong debugging skills using GDB or an equivalent tool.
- Have practical experience with industry-standard SystemC simulators such as Virtualizer or Helium.
- Have experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Have a track record of shipped products containing firmware or embedded software; pre-silicon development experience is preferred.
- Have knowledge in one or more of these domains: drivers, DMA, PCIe, NVMe, image/video decoders, networking controllers, memory controllers/training, boot flows, or power management.
- Communicate proficiently in English.
- Reside in Poland.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement models and validation firmware/software for silicon components such as boot ROMs, PCIe, USB, and compute clusters.
- Lead the technical development of models, firmware, and embedded software.
- Collaborate with hardware and software architects to define specifications and ensure system-level integration.
- Mentor junior engineers in software design, firmware development, and engineering practices.
- Participate in design and code reviews to support high-quality, maintainable solutions.
- Drive debugging and optimization to improve performance and reliability.
- Document developed models, APIs, and workflows.
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges to stakeholders and management.
