Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer in enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Linux.
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools, including Ansible.
- Experience with Terraform and/or OpenTofu and designing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Shell, or similar.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
- Strong understanding of Linux security, system hardening, and operational best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure.
- Experience working in operational environments requiring shift work and 24/7 on-call support.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks.
- Preferred: experience with clustered or high-availability solutions, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and support enterprise Linux platforms in on-premises and cloud environments, including GCP and Azure.
- Maintain system stability, availability, performance, and security across production and non-production environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
- Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks, scripts, and deployment templates.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar technologies.
- Manage Linux system configuration and lifecycle through Ansible and related automation tooling.
- Perform patching, hardening, compliance activities, upgrades, and platform lifecycle work.
- Support BAU/Run operations, including incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
- Collaborate with security, network, storage, cloud, and application teams; contribute to audit, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide shift-rota operational support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for business-critical platforms.
