Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- Have 10+ years of experience in data management, technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Have 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity; experience in insurance, financial services, or another data-intensive industry is preferred.
- Bring experience partnering with senior business leaders and strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- Have extensive understanding of data domains, enterprise data ecosystems, data management practices, and modern data capabilities.
- Have experience working with data models, modern data tools, and master data management.
- Have basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Understand advanced analytical models and their application to business decision-making.
- Be able to work independently with business leaders, identify opportunities, and translate needs into actionable data solutions.
- Have experience delivering data-driven tools, capabilities, and solutions for complex business problems.
- Bring facilitation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Be able to lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct line-management authority.
- Experience with sales and marketing ecosystems is preferred; familiarity with Salesforce, LiveRamp, and Google Analytics is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Define and refine the strategic direction and roadmap for enterprise data capabilities aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with senior business leaders and stakeholders to identify needs, assess opportunities, define value, and establish measurable outcomes.
- Translate data relationships, models, and capabilities into business-friendly artifacts and recommendations.
- Convert business opportunities into data-driven capabilities with IT, architecture, data, and business leaders.
- Adapt data strategies to changing business priorities, technology developments, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with consultants and business partners to scope, prioritize, and execute large data initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, architecture teams, and data organizations.
- Represent business use cases and expected value throughout delivery, keeping initiatives aligned with objectives, milestones, and timelines.
- Manage and report initiative milestones, investments, and progress to enterprise performance stakeholders.
- Coordinate delivery across distributed teams, resolve dependencies, and ensure data capabilities follow standards, governance expectations, and data management principles.
