Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of creating and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including Azure virtual machines and virtual network configuration.
- Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS design patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD.
- PowerShell scripting knowledge.
- Knowledge of IPs and masks.
- Ability to program using structured and object-oriented programming in one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, HDFS, Ceph, and Amazon S3.
- Experience with dynamic resource management frameworks such as Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, or Yarn.
- Proactively identify problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and scale production services and server farms across multiple data centers.
- Enhance software architecture to improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.
- Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at scale.
- Work with development teams to ensure applications fit the infrastructure and address scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with QA on pipelines and automation for delivering and deploying applications to production.
- Troubleshoot incidents, test hypotheses, and identify root causes.
- Write postmortem reviews and remediation recommendations.
- Identify problematic trends, respond to system alerts, and restore systems to normal operating conditions.
- Author and update documentation for relevant specifications, systems, and procedures.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
