Experience: 7+ years in Data Engineering, including 2+ years as a tech lead or architect

Have 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Have 2+ years of experience as a tech lead or architect.
Have a track record of designing data platforms end-to-end.
Demonstrate architectural judgment and the ability to document and defend decisions in review.
Have expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including services such as S3, Kinesis, ECS, and Athena.
Have expertise with modern data stack tools such as dbt.
Have hands-on experience with ETL orchestration using Airflow or similar.
Understand data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices, including schema design, partitioning, and versioning.
Have hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code.
Be proficient in Python and skilled in writing and optimizing SQL.
Have experience hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers.

Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the data platform.
Make, document, and defend technology decisions, balancing scalability, cost, and team capacity.
Partner with game, analytics, and marketing leadership to turn business needs into a platform roadmap with clear priorities and SLAs.
Build core parts of the platform hands-on.
Hire, mentor, and grow the data engineering team.
Establish engineering practices, review culture, and operational discipline.
