Requirements

  • Have 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Bring expert-level Python skills for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Have proven experience leading complete technical projects from architecture and implementation through experimentation and production rollout.
  • Bring deep expertise with Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and dbt.
  • Have experience designing systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and robustness.
  • Have experience with observability through logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Demonstrate a product mindset and the ability to investigate complex problems, influence product direction, and balance technical and business considerations.
  • Be able to mentor engineers, build alignment across teams, and explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and reusable abstractions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of advertising platform APIs such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Snapchat Ads, and large-scale conversion tracking, is preferred.
  • Understanding of digital marketing operations and performance metrics such as ROAS, LTV, CAC, and CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from architecture and experimentation through development and production rollout across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Architect scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions for high-throughput marketing operations.
  • Develop systems for marketing campaign execution, conversion tracking, audience targeting, and third-party advertising integrations.
  • Identify technical problems and create abstractions and reusable solutions that simplify system complexity.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to shape requirements, influence product direction, and balance business value, complexity, and delivery timelines.
  • Improve observability, reliability, performance, automation, and system extensibility.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, onboarding, and day-to-day support.
  • Improve engineering processes and build automation to reduce repetitive work.
  • Support modernization, technical debt reduction, production reliability, and long-term platform scalability.
