- Render concepts and meanings accurately according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when permitted or requested by the client.
- Have a steady wired internet connection.
- Use a USB wired headset.
- Use Windows 10 or Mac.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls professionally and follow the interpreter’s code of conduct.
- Facilitate communication between Spanish and English speakers.
- Process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner.
- Maintain a quiet and secure interpreting environment.
- Use industry-specific vocabulary, especially healthcare and medical terminology.
- Participate in internal professional training.
- Communicate and report to a team leader.
