Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in Linux system administration supporting production environments.
- Have scripting experience in at least one language, such as Bash, Python, or PHP.
- Have a strong understanding of the LAMP/LEMP stack.
- Have experience with networking and security concepts.
- Have experience deploying and debugging complex applications.
- Have experience with MySQL database administration.
- Have experience managing mail servers, particularly PowerMTA, including mail deliverability and troubleshooting.
- Have experience with cloud-based services and virtualization.
- Be able to troubleshoot complex infrastructure environments and communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
- Be comfortable collaborating and taking ownership of technical problems through to resolution.
- Experience with Debian or Debian-based Linux distributions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Operations team to maintain, scale, and improve production infrastructure.
- Install, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software across infrastructure environments.
- Develop scripts and automation to streamline recurring jobs and operational processes.
- Own the security, stability, availability, and uptime of production, staging, and development environments.
- Monitor systems, respond to alerts and incidents, and participate in the priority-1 on-call rotation.
- Maintain network, server, and storage assets across cloud environments.
- Drive infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and operational process enhancements.
- Contribute to application and infrastructure release planning and configuration changes.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues, communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
