Requirements
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency with cloud technologies; AWS is preferred.
- Bring extensive experience with containerization and orchestration; Kubernetes is preferred.
- Have a deep understanding of software development, DevOps, and MLOps best practices, with a proven track record applying them in production.
- Have extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable models and services in production environments.
- Have a strong understanding of machine learning and be able to collaborate with Data Scientists on model deployment and optimization.
- Have experience with MLflow for experiment tracking and model management.
- Have experience with Airflow or Dagster for orchestrating end-to-end machine learning pipelines and workflows.
- Bring significant experience with data engineering, Kafka, and stream processing.
- Be proficient in Python and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Shape the strategic direction of machine learning infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop solutions to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of machine learning systems.
- Collaborate with Data Science to deploy models and optimize them for production.
- Architect machine learning pipelines and oversee real-time and batch inference systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to anticipate needs and implement long-term solutions.
- Mentor mid-level Machine Learning Engineers and establish best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate machine learning concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and present solutions.
- Lead the integration of new technologies and tools into the infrastructure.
