Requirements

  • Hold current HCPC or Social Work England registration with no restrictions on practice.
  • Have clinical experience working with children and young people.
  • Have 12 months’ experience within autism assessment and/or neurodevelopmental services.
  • Have training and practical experience using ADOS-2.
  • Have experience producing high-quality clinical reports.
  • Have good knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Be confident working independently and managing your own clinical workload.
  • Be able to work effectively within a remote service.
  • ADI-R experience or training is desirable.
  • Previous experience delivering assessments remotely is desirable.
  • Experience working across neurodevelopmental pathways is desirable.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring presentations and differential diagnosis is desirable.
  • Understanding of NICE guidance surrounding autism assessment and diagnosis is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive autism assessments with children and young people.
  • Contribute to diagnostic decision-making.
  • Write clinical reports.
  • Provide feedback to families.
