Requirements

  • Have been the #1 or #2 product leader at a growth-stage company.
  • Have owned a product surface where conversion, latency, and reliability had direct economic consequences.
  • Have taken a product from behind a competitor to ahead on a measurable metric, with before-and-after evidence.
  • Have shipped AI into production and hold opinions on determinism, evaluations, and building reliably on non-deterministic layers.
  • Be technically capable of reading pull requests and participating in architecture discussions.
  • Have built for customers whose revenue depends on the product, such as in fintech, payments, or commerce.
  • Have thrived in fast, resource-constrained, high-intensity environments in the last 5 years.
  • Operate autonomously and solve problems with proposed solutions and resources to execute.
  • Be willing to use and test the product directly and provide detailed feedback on PM and engineering work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap, sequencing, specifications, quality, and rollout for storefronts, checkout, payments, the merchant OS, and the AI agent.
  • Measure performance against competitors, including revenue per visitor, checkout conversion, page speed, approval rate, activation, retention, and user experience.
  • Lead and develop a small team of principal-level product managers and set standards for PRDs, prototypes, specifications, and launches.
  • Build direct relationships with top merchants, join weekly calls, and turn recurring pain points into product fixes.
  • Test and define quality standards for the Phoenix AI agent and its production use for revenue-related decisions.
  • Partner with the CTO and engineering leads on delivery planning, specifications, timelines, and engineering efficiency.
  • Track competitor products, pricing, and roadmaps, and prepare response memos within 48 hours of material competitor or platform launches.
  • Partner with the CEO on product strategy and future product bets.
