Requirements

  • Have an MD or DO from an accredited program.
  • Hold board certification in ER, FM, or IM.
  • Have 3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience.
  • Have 2+ years of experience delivering virtual care or telemedicine.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak in both Spanish and English.
  • Be onboarded with active licenses in both Tennessee and Florida via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
  • Be willing to obtain licenses in additional states with the company's assistance and licensing vendor.
  • Hold a compact license from IMLCC or be eligible for one by holding a full, unrestricted medical license in a Compact member state.
  • A current IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) is preferred to accelerate credentialing.
  • Be able and willing to obtain additional licensure in Oscar Medical Group states: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, MI, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting.
  • Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team as needed when working with complex patients.
  • Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and other providers as needed.
  • Use tooling to allow virtual exams, including remote home monitoring equipment, remote physical exam, and remote point of care diagnostics.
  • Participate in a collaborative care model with care team members, including registered nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical supervisors where applicable.
  • Participate in required patient-care meetings, including huddles, case conferencing, and regular service line All Hands.
  • Provide feedback to support improvement in operational workflows and product features.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
