Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Shopify website development.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Shopify platform and expertise in Shopify theme development and customization.
  • Have expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid.
  • Know Shopify Metafields, Metaobjects, and the Shopify Search & Discovery app.
  • Be familiar with Shopify CLI for theme development and deployment.
  • Be proficient with the Shopify Storefront GraphQL API and Shopify JS APIs, including Storefront, AJAX Cart, and Sections APIs.
  • Have expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and ECMAScript; experience with jQuery is also specified.
  • Understand responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, W3C web standards, semantic HTML, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks and produce detail-oriented work.
  • Have excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
  • Have a reliable remote workstation, including a fast computer, microphone, webcam, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom Shopify sections, blocks, and reusable front-end components.
  • Optimize and extend Shopify themes for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Use the Shopify Storefront GraphQL API to implement features beyond standard Liquid capabilities.
  • Integrate and customize third-party apps and Shopify-supported extensions.
  • Migrate websites from other e-commerce platforms to Shopify.
  • Configure payments, shipping methods, taxes, and other Shopify settings.
  • Optimize Shopify websites for page speed, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Create responsive, cross-browser-compatible HTML5/CSS3 templates from PSD layouts.
  • Use version control systems such as Git or SVN and QA work before submission.
  • Coordinate with team leads, project managers, and designers on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
