Requirements
- Have a degree, diploma, or certificate from a school of nursing.
- Have clinical experience.
- Be licensed in the State of Illinois.
- Know medical terminology.
- Have data entry and/or typing experience.
- Be proficient with PCs, including Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
- Auditing experience is preferred.
- The assignment is a contract that starts right away and ends on June 28, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Over-read medical record abstractions performed by HEDIS abstraction staff according to HEDIS specifications and company training guidelines.
- Complete the IRR/over-read tool in the software application and add comments when errors are found.
- Correct errors identified through the over-read process, including re-reviewing charts that may contain similar errors.
- Identify and report abstraction errors and provide measure re-education for abstractors.
- Use software applications to enter data and change chase status for identified chases.
- Meet with the HEDIS Coordinator and/or QI Specialists to discuss HEDIS efforts, open issues, and IRR results.
- Maintain productivity levels determined by the HEDIS Coordinator/QI Department.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
