Requirements
- Have at least two years of experience reducing security risks in application, infrastructure, or corporate security.
- Have at least three years of deeper experience in at least one security or security-adjacent domain, such as infrastructure security, application security, cloud security, corporate/IT security, cryptography, or privacy.
- Be able to create a threat model and explain why a risk matters and how it might be reduced.
- Be able to develop software using Python, Rust, Golang, or a similar language.
- Have experience in a modern software development environment, including git, CI/CD, or LLM coding tools.
- Have experience using AI tools, including LLMs or ML models, to identify and address security issues.
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to security projects across application, infrastructure, and internal/corporate security.
- Respond to security investigations, vulnerabilities, and questions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and help respond to security incidents and investigations.
- Write code to support security work and improve the security of the Patreon platform.
- Work with the security team and the wider Risk Engineering organization.
- Partner with engineering, legal, and IT teams on security work.
