Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year of related experience with computer systems and applications.
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience configuring and developing on the ServiceNow platform, including workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, and UI policies.
  • Preferred: proficiency in JavaScript and platform scripting, including troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Preferred: experience with APIs and integrations, including REST/SOAP and data exchange across systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with multi-environment deployments and release processes across Dev, Test/UAT, and Prod.
  • Preferred: experience with Agile delivery, backlog refinement, sprint work, and UAT support.
  • Participation in on-call rotation is required.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand current processes, identify issues, and gather system requirements.
  • Analyze project scope and milestones and develop detailed tasks for application development work.
  • Write functional and technical specifications from system requirements.
  • Develop or change data inputs, files and database structures, transformations, algorithms, and outputs using appropriate languages and tools.
  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow record producers, workflows, and case management structures.
  • Create test scenarios, test changes, and support UAT and go-live readiness.
  • Implement changes in accordance with change management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor implemented changes, troubleshoot problems, and triage and resolve support issues.
  • Document code, processes, and user or technical guidance, and support Knowledge updates.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
