Job Details

Experience building and maintaining backend services in production, ideally in API- or integration-heavy systems.
Strong skills in designing for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Ability to own work from initial scoping through design, integration, production rollout, and iteration.
Experience working with third-party APIs of varying maturity is relevant to the role.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity and structure to a team.
Ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and commercial partners.
A product mindset focused on solving customer problems.
TypeScript/Node, AWS services, PostgreSQL, or TimescaleDB experience is nice to have.
Familiarity with home energy assets, energy markets, or IoT/device ecosystems is nice to have.
Prior exposure to API-first products or integration platforms is nice to have.
On-call or incident response experience is nice to have.

Build and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across batteries, solar, smart meters, and HVAC.
Design and evolve home energy APIs that unify telemetry and controls across the HEM system, batteries, and curtailment.
Improve observability and vendor performance across integrations, and participate in the team's triage rotation.
Work with partnership and commercial teams to assess API feasibility for new OEM integrations.
Build relationships with platform customers and use what you learn to shape product development.
Debug and ship production features in Node/TypeScript on the AWS-based stack.
