Requirements
- 5+ years of experience at an insurance company or loss adjustment provider resolving property and casualty claims.
- Working knowledge of commercial property and casualty claims and insurance operations.
- Expertise in policy construction and ISO Commercial BOP forms.
- Proper adjuster licensing in all applicable states.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm in your time zone.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve commercial property claims of moderate to high complexity.
- Investigate claims by reviewing insured materials, reports, and documentation.
- Identify and assess coverage issues, draft position letters, and manage coverage counsel.
- Analyze coverage and damages to estimate and recommend appropriate reserves.
- Maintain claim diaries, post reserves, and respond to inquiries from stakeholders including insureds, brokers, and senior management.
- Negotiate claim resolutions and direct risk transfer, subrogation, and contractual indemnity actions.
