Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • 3 years of experience as an associate is recommended
  • CPA or EA certification preferred
  • Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S-corps
  • Experience with real estate taxation, such as 1031 exchanges, is highly relevant
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual environment
  • Professional demeanor for video-based client interactions

Responsibilities

  • Review basic tax returns and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare complex tax returns and workpapers, including Form 3115 and 1031 exchanges
  • Communicate directly with clients via email, phone, Loom, or Zoom to request data and resolve notices
  • Maintain high responsiveness to peer, supervisor, and client communications
  • Adhere to firm and AICPA professional ethics and confidentiality standards
  • Assist with client proposals, workpaper roll-forwards, and training material development
