Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, civil engineering, public policy, public administration, geography, economics, or related field.
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning or consulting.
- Extensive experience leading statewide, regional, or multimodal transportation planning programs.
- Proven track record working with state DOTs, MPOs, and regional transportation authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to expand executive-level client relationships and secure significant engagements.
- Experience directing capture strategies, proposals, scopes of work, and fee development.
- Strong knowledge of long-range, performance-based, and capital investment planning.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across regions or business units.
- Ability to manage financial aspects including budgets, risk, and profitability.
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national strategy for statewide and regional planning.
- Build and expand executive-level relationships with state DOTs, MPOs, and transit agencies.
- Identify, qualify, and lead major statewide and regional planning opportunities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary professionals across engineering, economics, and technology.
- Provide senior technical and strategic oversight for complex planning engagements.
- Mentor and develop planning professionals to foster technical excellence and growth.
