Requirements

  • Educated to degree level and/or holds a relevant payroll qualification.
  • Previous experience in payroll processing.
  • Solid understanding of HMRC requirements, including Tax, NI, and statutory deductions.
  • Experience with Auto Enrolment pension schemes.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Proactive in utilising AI to enhance job performance.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • Polite, empathetic, and committed to customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers' monthly payroll operations from start to finish.
  • Ensure all staff are paid correctly and within specified deadlines.
  • Update the payroll system with current pay scales, pension rates, NI rates, and tax thresholds.
  • Calculate pay adjustments, including holiday pay for leavers and statutory payments.
  • Ensure accurate payments and reporting to external stakeholders, including HMRC.
  • Maintain strict compliance with GDPR and ISO27001 data protection standards.
