Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in SOC, Blue Team, Detection Engineering, or Incident Response.
- Strong technical background in SIEM (correlation rules, log management, parsers).
- Experience with EDR/XDR systems (CrowdStrike Falcon is a plus) and SOAR (playbooks, integrations).
- Proven ability to apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework for coverage mapping and gap analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying process inconsistencies and detection errors.
- Effective communication skills to provide constructive feedback to shift analysts.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
- Experience building detection engineering programs is a plus.
- Technical publication or training experience is considered an asset.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCFA, OSCP, CCD, CCFH, SC-200/SC-100) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly quality reviews of incidents to identify detection and process gaps.
- Develop and review detection rules, correlation logic, and alerts within SIEM/EDR systems.
- Coordinate monthly security reports for clients to ensure consistency and data precision.
- Translate quarterly and ad-hoc research into actionable improvements for detections and playbooks.
- Oversee analyst research programs and contribute to expert content like blog posts and webinars.
