Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Strong understanding of state management, hooks, and web performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of a backend language such as Python, Kotlin, or Java.
- Comfortable navigating an API or database schema.
- Pragmatic approach to engineering with a preference for maintainable solutions.
- Experience with GraphQL (nice to have).
- Production experience with Kotlin or Python (nice to have).
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation tools like Optimizely (nice to have).
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards (nice to have).
- Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Develop a fast, accessible, and beautiful website for zoe.com that is consistently on-brand.
- Partner with UX designers to turn high-fidelity designs into fluid, accessible, and performant components.
- Contribute to and help grow the shared component library and web design system.
- Launch A/B tests and work with analysts to interpret results and improve the user journey.
- Collaborate on API design and implement backend changes to support new front-end features.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and ship to production regularly.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to grow into a technical owner of the web platform.
