Requirements
- Some C programming and debugging skills.
- Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management.
- Experience with GNU/Linux operating system (CLI) and shell scripting.
- Basic experience with building the Linux kernel and troubleshooting related issues.
- English proficiency at B1 level or above.
- Self-starter who is hungry to learn.
- Final-year student or entry-level engineer with strong basics.
- Ability to read and reason about C / systems code.
- Solid fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants day-to-day with basic prompting and error spotting.
Responsibilities
- Work on real-world projects and contribute to the development of TuxCare products.
- Collaborate with the experienced development team and learn from industry professionals.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
- Write effective unit tests and ensure software quality.
- Gain exposure to C backend development and system programming.
- Learn AI-assisted development workflows, including CVE research and backporting.
