Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with production systems.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to reason about long term architecture.
- Experience with one or more backend languages such as Node.js or TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience designing scalable APIs and backend infrastructure for high volumes or high trust environments.
- Production experience with relational databases.
- Production experience with automated testing.
- Production experience with message queues.
- Production experience with containerized/cloud environments such as Kubernetes or AWS.
- Clear communicator who collaborates well with teammates.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in ambiguity with kindness and curiosity.
- Background in fintech, payments, identity, or other regulated domains is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement clean, testable backend systems and APIs.
- Architect scalable infrastructure capable of handling high trust requirements.
- Champion testing, quality, and long term maintainability in every project.
