Requirements
- 5+ years of design management experience, ideally including managing managers.
- Experience leading teams through ambiguity and change.
- Deep understanding of the latest AI developments, modern tooling, and component-driven design practices.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Figma's tools.
- Proven track record of partnering cross-functionally to solve complex design challenges.
- Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to influence teams, adapt quickly, and take a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to attend in-person onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and develop a multi-team design group spanning Design Systems, Code, MCP, CMS, and Community.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leads to improve team processes, execution, roadmaps, and strategy.
- Develop a perspective on product areas and advocate for it across the organization.
- Lead critique, sprint, and design review practices across the pillar.
- Advance people management skills in a supportive environment.
- Operate hands-on across both people management, strategy, and execution.
