Requirements
- Significant experience building and operating machine learning or AI systems in production.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Strong Python and software engineering skills for contributing to production-ready systems.
- Experience designing production APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Hands-on development experience with generative AI, RAG, agentic workflows, and tool use.
- Understanding of enterprise RAG architecture including chunking, embeddings, reranking, and monitoring.
- Experience defining AI evaluation methodologies to guide model and release decisions.
- Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Experience operating cloud environments using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with ML infrastructure tools like Kafka, MLflow, or SageMaker.
- Ability to establish observability and diagnose production issues using platforms like Datadog.
- Proven capability to mentor engineers and influence cross-team technical alignment.
Responsibilities
- Shape technical direction and architecture for AI-powered capabilities and conversational AI products.
- Design and implement generative AI applications utilizing LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and vector search.
- Develop and maintain reusable AI services and APIs with scalable patterns for data orchestration.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, MLOps lifecycle management, and rigorous evaluation strategies for accuracy and reliability.
- Implement security, privacy, and responsible AI safeguards, including protection against prompt injection.
- Mentor technical leads and engineers to improve team effectiveness and cross-functional technical decision-making.
- Partner with Product and Data teams to prioritize technical roadmap investments.
