Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing enterprise-level, n-tier, service-oriented applications incorporating multiple COTS products.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
- Demonstrated experience serving as an AWS Solutions Architect and deploying production workloads.
- Deep knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.
- Experience integrating and architecting solutions around multiple COTS products.
- Understanding of n-tier, service-oriented, and microservices architectures, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and CI/CD tooling.
- Working knowledge of federal and DoD security frameworks: NIST 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP, and ATO process.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Design and document enterprise-level, n-tier, and service-oriented architectures integrating multiple COTS products.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of secure AWS solutions across compute, storage, networking, identity, data, and security services.
- Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies including rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.
- Define reusable reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards.
- Architect solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD approaches for automated deployments.
- Integrate security and compliance requirements into architecture and delivery in accordance with DoD, NIST 800-53, RMF, and FedRAMP frameworks.
- Support Authority to Operate activities and address compliance and authorization requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams through architecture and design reviews.
